AppFlowy is a self-hosted Notion alternative for teams that want project management, shared documents, and AI in an environment they control. Its self-hosted enterprise offering can run on premises, in your own cloud, or in an air-gapped environment. Self-hosted LLMs and embedding models let you keep AI processing and workspace data inside your infrastructure, with no vendor access to your instance.
The workspace combines documents and team wikis with databases and project management. Teammates can edit together in real time or leave comments for later. AI search answers questions using your sources; writing assistance, chat, research, and meeting notes support work within the same workspace. It also includes forms, a site builder, and basic CRM tools.
AppFlowy has apps for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android, plus a web interface, with sync across devices. Its open-core model includes an open-source repository licensed under AGPL-3.0. Teams moving from Notion or Confluence can get migration assistance without giving AppFlowy access to their data.
The self-hosted enterprise offering supports SAML and OIDC single sign-on, SCIM provisioning, and LDAP integration. Administrators can manage users, workspaces, permissions, and AI access centrally. MCP and public APIs connect it to existing systems, while independently deployable services and horizontal scaling support larger self-hosted deployments.
