Oh My Pi is a terminal coding assistant that combines AI agents with code intelligence and debugging tools. It's for developers who want an agent working directly in their codebase, with a choice of local model servers or cloud providers. It builds on Pi and runs on macOS, Linux and native Windows without WSL.
The application runs on your machine. It can connect to a local OpenAI-compatible model server without an API key, or send model requests to a cloud provider. Cloud connections use provider accounts or API credentials, depending on the service. You can assign different models to planning, routine coding and review rather than use one model for every task.
Built-in language-server and debugger support gives the agent access to IDE capabilities. Subagents handle delegated work, while plan mode supports planning before implementation. An optional advisor model reviews the main agent's turns in its own context and sends feedback as the work proceeds. A native Rust core handles the underlying processing.
Project-scoped memory carries codebase facts and reusable lessons between sessions, with local storage, Hindsight or Mnemopi as backend choices. Oh My Pi also reads existing team rules in formats including Cursor MDC, Cline .clinerules, Codex AGENTS.md and Copilot applyTo.
Zed integration lets the agent work with the editor's current buffer, save changes through the editor and use its terminal. Built-in web search can read documentation, GitHub pages and arXiv PDFs as structured text with links preserved. The project is open source under the MIT license.

Albert coordinates Claude Code agents for developers who want to hand off a coding goal across several tasks. Its harness and dashboard run locally on Windows, macOS or Linux, and it requires an installed, signed-in Claude Code account. It assigns work to Haiku, Sonnet or Opus according to the task and continues until the goal is complete or it reaches a requested review checkpoint.

Code Buddy is an AI coding assistant for developers who want a terminal agent running on their own machine, with a choice of local or cloud models. It reads repositories, edits code and runs commands on Linux, macOS and Windows. Ollama keeps model inference local without an API key or account; cloud providers send model requests off the machine. Routing includes automatic provider failover.
Codewhale is a coding agent that runs on your computer and works with a model you choose. It's for developers who want help understanding a project, fixing bugs or automating repeated work, with control over the agent's access to files and commands. The open-source project uses the MIT license and is written in Rust.
Codex CLI is an open source coding assistant that runs on your computer and works with local repositories. It's for developers who want to explore code, make changes, and use their existing development tools from the terminal. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux under the Apache 2.0 license.
Devo is an MIT-licensed, open-source coding agent for developers and teams who want a local workspace with their choice of model provider. It has a desktop app and a terminal interface, with support for macOS, Linux, Windows and Kylin OS. Its compact Rust runtime runs as a single binary without runtime dependencies.
