This tutorial walks through a Windows setup for FreeLLMAPI and Claude Code. The presenter installs Docker Desktop and Git, runs the project's installation command in Git Bash, then opens the service through its Docker port. Creating the first account requires a setup code retrieved with a separate command.

The next step is adding provider credentials. The demonstration creates a Google AI Studio key and an OpenRouter key, adds both to FreeLLMAPI, and checks their health. A playground chat then tests the connection with automatic fallback enabled, which the speaker describes as switching to another model when a model's free credits run out.

For the coding assistant setup, the presenter copies the repository's Claude Code configuration command and supplies FreeLLMAPI's unified key. The resulting settings use localhost:3001 as the base URL and automatic model selection. The final example asks Claude Code to create a tic-tac-toe game in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, then opens the generated page in a browser.

This is a self-hosted router connected to external model providers, rather than a demonstration of inference on local hardware. The walkthrough configures two provider connections.
