Hermes HUD is a browser interface for managing Hermes agents. The host describes it as a free, open source project and demonstrates two setup options: paste installation commands into a terminal, or ask Hermes to install the plugin and sync it. In this demonstration, the host reports that setup takes about two to three minutes and opens the interface locally.

The tour tests browser chat and shows scheduled tasks with fields for a name, prompt and interval. It also covers local projects, sessions, memory and plugin management. The Health section reports problems with API keys, while the Gateways view shows connections that need attention. The host uses GPT-5.4 and points to controls for default models and providers. A locally running interface does not establish that the connected models run on the same hardware.

The comparison focuses on how each interface handles daily AI agent management. The host says Hermes Dashboard lacks chat and considers HUD's browser chat and centralized controls its most useful features. Hermes Workspace remains the host's preference for its cleaner interface and Swarms feature. These are impressions from the demonstrated setup, rather than a measured performance comparison.
