This walkthrough introduces LM Studio Bionic as a local AI app with Work Mode for documents and Code Mode for development. The speaker compares those modes with Claude Cowork and Claude Code, then demonstrates a workflow that turns web search results into a report, posts a summary to ClickUp and builds an HTML page from that task.

The ClickUp MCP setup uses a server URL and API token. The speaker also adds an X-Workspace-ID header after encountering connection problems with multiple workspaces. In the demonstration, Bionic creates a task containing the news summary rather than attaching the report file. The coding session retrieves that information, creates HTML and starts a local server for the built-in browser preview.

The settings tour covers build nine, microphone access for transcription and LM Link for sharing inference between devices. The speaker uses a 16 GB Mac Mini to access a model on a Mac Studio and says updating both apps resolved an LM Link problem. Voice transcription downloads a model described as roughly 2 to 3 GB.

The walkthrough distinguishes downloaded models from paid models hosted by LM Studio. Built-in web search also goes through LM Studio; the speaker says a separate solution may be needed for private search. Failed tool calls appear during the demos, and the speaker reports basic PowerPoint styling compared with Claude Cowork. Scheduled work is a requested feature, not a demonstrated capability.
