This tutorial covers Sidebar V2 in the T3 Code Nightly build. The speaker compares the old project-grouped sidebar with a flat thread list in creation order. Active threads appear as cards, while finished threads become compact rows in a collapsible Settled section.

The walkthrough enables Sidebar V2 under Settings > Beta. The speaker says the layout changes without a restart and users can switch back through the same toggle. Settling requires an up-to-date server; threads stay active on older servers. The auto settle option defaults to 3 days of inactivity and allows a different interval. Threads associated with merged or closed pull requests settle automatically, and new activity returns a settled thread to an active card.

The demonstration covers manual settle and unsettle controls, plus snooze options such as one hour, tomorrow at 9:00, or next Monday at 9:00. A thread's context menu also includes rename, mark as unread, and delete actions. The expanded Settled section shows recent threads and a Show more button for older entries.

A project filter narrows the list to one project's threads. Command K opens a palette that searches commands, projects, and threads, with project and branch details in the demonstrated result. The compose button opens a project picker with numbered Command shortcuts. The speaker describes the layout as useful for agentic coding workflows, while noting that it remains a beta feature available only in Nightly.
