Frontman
A self-hosted AI coding agent edits frontend source files in your browser, using live page context and your own AI provider credentials.

Frontman is an AI coding agent for designers, product managers and developers making small frontend fixes in an existing codebase. It connects visible elements in a running app to their source, so teammates can request changes without opening an IDE.
- Visual editing: Change copy, spacing, colors and layouts through a browser interface, with edits applied to actual source files and shown through hot reload.
- Live page context: The agent uses the rendered page, component tree, computed CSS, source maps and server logs to identify the code behind a visible issue.
- Code review: Generated diffs can go through the team's usual review process before changes land.
- Framework support: It works with Next.js App Router and Pages Router, Astro, and Vite projects using React, Vue or Svelte, including SvelteKit.
- OpenClaw integration: An OpenClaw skill gives that agent access to Frontman's frontend context and editing capabilities.
The browser interface works with integrations on your local development server. Those integrations run only in development and don't appear in production builds. Self-hosting is available, alongside a paid offering.
AI requests use your own provider credentials and go to services such as OpenAI, Anthropic or OpenRouter, so self-hosting doesn't make those requests local or offline. Supported models include GPT, Codex and Claude. The project is open source under Apache 2.0 and AGPL-3.0.
