This tutorial demonstrates OpenMAIC, an interactive classroom app that builds lessons from a topic prompt. The presenter asks it to teach Python from scratch in 30 minutes. It generates slides and quizzes, then lets the learner ask an AI teacher questions about each slide. A request for a Python example produces code on an interactive whiteboard, which the teacher updates after another question.

A second example covers the board game Avalon with additional classroom characters selected. These agents join the teacher in an ongoing discussion. The interface also includes document uploads, model selection and token consumption tracking. The presenter says the app supports voice and video, but does not demonstrate those features.

The setup section covers cloning the repository, installing dependencies with pnpm install and configuring provider details in a .env file. The demonstration uses OpenAI with an API key, base URL and four configured models. The presenter also shows a default model setting and an optional access code. For localhost development, the command is pnpm dev; the production sequence uses pnpm build followed by pnpm start. Settings are also available through the interface.

This is a self-hosted app demonstration with an external model provider. The tutorial does not show a local LLM backend or establish offline operation.
