HyperFrames
An open-source video framework renders HTML animations to MP4 locally or in Docker, with coding-agent integrations and a browser editor.

HyperFrames turns web layouts and animations into videos for developers and teams building automated video workflows. It uses plain HTML and CSS, so you can create compositions yourself or work with an AI coding assistant without adopting React.
- Repeatable video rendering: Export compositions to MP4 with consistent frames across repeated renders, suited to automated production and regression testing.
- Coding-agent workflows: Skills for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI cover product videos, explainers, captions, talking-head overlays and music-driven videos.
- Animation and reusable assets: Combine GSAP, CSS animations, Lottie, Three.js, Anime.js or WAAPI with catalog components for transitions, charts, maps and captions.
- Browser editing and playback: Studio lets you preview and edit compositions in a browser, while an embeddable player lets you display them on web pages.
- Audio mixing: Mix voiceovers, music and effects, adjust levels over time, and reduce competing music frequencies while speech plays.
The open-source framework uses the Apache 2.0 license and supports local or Docker rendering. Local rendering requires Node.js and FFmpeg. HeyGen-hosted cloud rendering and distributed rendering on AWS Lambda are separate options that process renders in the cloud. The community playground at hyperframes.dev also supports sharing and rendering projects online.
Animations must support seeking to specific points in time so the renderer can capture each frame accurately.
